I am from Mike Utley''s hometown of Blytheville, AR, and I grew up with Utley, AKA "Buddah" and listening to his music with local bands. I just retired from the local Public School System as the secretary to the principal and bookkeeper for our local junior high school. I saw your VH1 Save the Music involvement. I, too, am wanting to campaign for our local schools'' music programs. As bookkeeper, I know from first hand experience the financial aspects of music in our public schools. My nephew was the Band Director of my school at one time and he now is High School Band Director for the Newport, AR, public school system. I understand how difficult it is for students to stay involved in our music programs. My and Utley''s hometown is in a low income area and it is a struggle for these families to stay in music without our help. To get you and Utley and the Coral Reefers Band to play for an Arkansas fundraiser for this cause would be awesome to say the least. Utley was part of my past in the 60''s where our public schools started him on his music career. What a local inspiration this could be. If we could have this event planned in the next couple of years would be a dream come true for Northeast Arkansas Public Schools Music Programs and Utley''s own hometown. I saw you on the Today show yesterday and it started me looking up the Coral Reefers on the internet. I would love to make this dream a reality for what I agree with you, is a great cause for the youth of today. I could make it the "Event" of the decade for helping our Public Schools'' Music Programs in the state of Arkansas.
